hotel security

Anybody ever have any problems with things going missing from hotel rooms while at NABX? I'm kinda' paranoid, but we all will have expensive gear with us and it makes me a little nervous (had a house keeper try to "borrow" my laptop bag at a hotel in Bend, OR. a couple of years ago.) Just thought I'd ask.

Hotel safe + do not disturb. I'd also think that the playa is a pretty safe place if thinks are locked. I'm sure we'd notice someone breaking into a car...

Kinda' more thinking about my computer (my only option for dealing with HD video is to haul my smallish desk top.) That and I drive a Kia hatch back, so if you look at it funny, it's full. I'm not worried about my fellow kiters, just about electronics left in the room.

if it makes you feel better ive always kept my laptop in the hotel room ... its hidden under my clothes in the luggage. ***hint for those visiting our room*** ROFL

items are safe on the drylake too. we leave our cameras in the car, and the buggies on the overnight.

you will not have issues

I've been way to many places where the cleaning staff just ignore the Do not disturb sign and clean anyway. It kinda pisses me off. Have we as a society really grown so filthy that we can't spend a day in a hotel room without needing it cleaned?
