Crazy Wind!!!

Honey finally got to fly her new Beamer 3m today and done a great job.

Trying to decide which kite I'd put up, the weather report came to mind. 11mph then dropping to 8mph. But right now it seems 15ish. Hmmm.

But I'll grab the 7m Ace. That thing is like a truck, had me all over the place so after about 10 minutes, I put it on a stake.

Pulled out the 5m Beamer, ahhh, thats more like it. Then the wind shifted and and came from the east, great I'm going for some wheels now.

About that time a gust came thru and I was lifted by a Beamer. I don't know how high but went at least 15 feet forward. Probably only a few feet off the ground with a nice landing. So I put it on a stake. LOL

Only for a little while, then flew for a few more hours. Not much of a day for the wheels, just to gusty, getting pulled pretty hard all day.

Came home, checked the history for the day, gust was hitting 20mph at times and lots of upper teens. OH, thats why I'm so tired.

I'm just glad I put that 7m Ace down when I did. My butt would have been toast.

Don't rely on mr. weather man, ever.

I had steady 34 mph winds yesterday with gusts over 40.

I thought about taking a kite up until I saw that the shingles on my roof didn't want to stay on the house.
