I liked the video. I especially liked the jumps and appreciate the landings, busted or not. I am nervous to jump with the board but oddly enough the one you didn't land well didn't seem so bad. I could try just a little jump. thanks for sharing

Nice vid, Power.

Was you using your 14m?
I'm trying to learn the board also and like stetson, jumps? no way yet, lol

I've not used the board much with a kite, once yesterday but a 3m kite was crazy wild in heavy gust.

I ride down hill every chance I get and I may be way off, but it would seem with a kite/bar a person could balance better. Is this correct?

Yes I was on the 14m nemi. Gusty conditions make it very hard to learn how to board. The first time I got going on my board was when I was flying in clean winds. When I just started learning to board, starts and transitions were the difficult part; once you're riding and you have the correct lean backwards against the pull of the kite it's easy to cruise. My suggestion would be to get rolling by pushing or with a slight hill while the kite is still overhead and then slowly dive it and slowly add power from the kite. The slower you dive the kite the less rapid the power delivery and therefore the easier it is to get going without getting pulled off the board and faceplanting. The kite doesn't really help you balance IMO, but having board skills before you try learning to kiteboard makes it easier to just concentrate on the kite's movements. If you're getting pulled over the board, try sitting down with your feet in the board when you dive the kite.

Thanks Power, I'll try those things. I like the idea of squatting down when the pull comes on. Plus,,,, If I do go over, not as far to fall. LOL I don't bounce as well as I used to.

Very nice! Sand tends to be a bit abrasive on uncovered knees and elbows :smilegrin:

Yea I'm a little scratched up but it's all worth it. Wish I could have been in the water more when I was there but the wind was fairly light the whole week.
