The shell is made from Chloroplast, (the sign board material RC modelers also like) which Peter says is safer on impact.

I was running on foot all over the desert, trying to video and 3D a close run - with no luck. Kent landsailed by and mentioned that Randy (or was it Marty?) "needed more ballast" in his sailer. :ticking:

So, off we go trying to vector a driveby. This was a pretty slow run. It got pretty hairy at one point when we were moving about 50mph and it about 70. The padless pilot assured me that his landsailer "doesn't tip over" but I was still hanging on for life!

i am wondering if the kite in that vid is not the Phanny II (proto)? it sure does look high Aspect Ratio.
