About the event:
The 2010 South Padre Island Kite Round-Up is the world’s largest and longest yearly amateur kite boarding competition and kiteboarding equipment demo.
This year the event is scheduled for May 1st-9th, 2010 on South Padre Island, located on the southern Gulf Coast of Texas. South Padre is home to
steady winds and warm weather all year round, which makes it a perfect place for kitesurfing. There are plans for multiple amateur kiteboarding
contests to be held this year.
These include, but are not limited to events such as: Downwind Race, Freestyle, Wave Sessions, Speed Trials, Boarder-X, SUP Races and many more. In
addition to the amateur competitions, there will be tons of kiteboarding clinics as well as kiteboarding gear demos from many of the industry’s
leading kiteboarding equipment manufacturers. This is your chance to try out, and personally fly all of this 2010’s new kite surfing kites, power
kites, trainer kites, kite boards, land boards, and a whole range of the latest kite board equipment. Get the full information at
