God that thing is a monster

Went to the beach this afternoon about 4:30. Some random self-appointed kitesurfing-guru informed me there was no wind little did he know ...

The Ace flies much better on a back-strap!

The pull is just so relentless through the power zone ... massive long scuds downwind! You've got to keep an eye on it though cos it'll race to the edge of the window and collapse if you don't stop it.

The DIY pulley handles work nice ... some thoughts -

The closer the knot is to the handles, the less throw you seem to get on the brakes but it's easier to pull.

The pulleys seem to limit the amount you can actually pull the brakes too. The way the pulleys seem to work, when you've used up all the travel in the brake leader but keep pulling on the handle, it actually pulls the power line too, like you're doing a pull turn with a good dollop of brakes on. So far, this is a good thing; and you can still back-stall the kite fine ...

We'll see if the pulley handles are actually the best options, need to do more testing versus regular handles.

You might try the power ring thing and see if that will help. It helps with turning and the use of the brakes is also enhanced, I did it on a 12 Ace and thought it was a laugh but others said it worked.

It's not bad, as it is - turns good enough to be controllable and I'm not (and probably won't ever be) into jumping on a non-depowerable land kite

power rings are for real and really work......................your 12 will turn faster and develope even more power......................I had them on my Bego 400 and 600s which made a phenominal kite even better......................cheap and easy to do give them a try.........................:D

rings are usually reserved for kites larger than 5m because of their slower turning. The 4m should turn plenty fast as long as your on handles

Dakitez! thanks for your input yes it turns plenty quick , andis on handles. I was thinking more for power & Lift ? :dunno: while im saving for bigger & better

more power and more lift = new kite. No quick easy fixes for that ;-)

Small update ... I've gone off back-straps the knots in the loops on the end were apparently digging into my armpits (I didn't notice) and I feel like I got a good kicking by a horde of angry toddles in pointy shoes red spots now, I'll take pics if I get some nice bruises

Got some rings in the tool box - will give it a try ...
