Airush switch????
Has anyone gotten any experrience with the 2009 Airush Switch 144 x 44 or Exile 146 x 46 ??? I am looking at it for a first board, and can get it
shipped to me for under $450 Cad taxes and shipping included. I am 185lbs and when the winds go they will probably start at 24km/h for a starting but
would like to still ride when they are up to 35km/h when I get comfortable enough. I want to go upwind easy and this sounds like it could do it and
still work well in the lighter winds. I was recommended the 146 x 46 just cause our winds usually don't climb higher than 22-30km/h for a water usable
wind and cause the only kite I will be using is my 16m Scorpion. I hope to advance a bunch this summer if all goes right; therefore, still want a
reasonably decent board to learn transitions and jumps. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

i had an older version, excellent board to start.
has a concave center and easy to control , the smaller will be fine
easy to switch. very fun all around.
should be fun in 15-20mph with the 16scorp.

I think both are too big for you. At 185 the ideal board should be between 134 and 138.

I disagree. For learning, you will want something big so its easier to get up and plane. Then it can become your light-wind board. Yes, for fully
powered up conditions, something smaller will be much more fun, but to get started, having a bigger board makes the learning process much easier...

for the ARC , a flat bottom works best, but it's not so friendly to start. the SWITCH has a unique center concave (smaller area than say a JL)
truly a well matched board to learn on arcs with, control and grip is great with fast enough rail line for arc speed.
144 is gonna give alot rides in light air.
if you are committed it won't be the last one you buy for sur

Awesome guys thanks!!!! Yeah from what I've read and from this I'm gonna opt for the 144. That should suffice for the summer and If I'm ready then in
the fall I'll opt for a smaller board. Hopefully by then I can get myself a wet suit I'm just green with envy watching my buddy out there on the water
even when there is still ice in spots. A 5mm suit would probably cook in the summer but for an early year and later fall sessions it would be worth
it.
Thanks guys much appreciated
