OZONE FLOW KITES w/handles

I recently purchased an Ozone Flow 3m w/handles, and it came with the short handles. The 5m Flow I have, I purchased with the bar last year. I have not tried the 5m on the short handles yet, since the winds in Oklahoma have really been blowing lately. The question I have is, will the short handles that I have work for the 5m or would I be better off getting a set of long handles for the 5m?

I believe you're gonna have better feel and control with the long handles... Unless you have forearms like Popeye... The longer handles offer more leverage.

I'm not bragging but my arms make popeye's arms look like olive oyl's, JUST KIDDING!
I will probably end up having my wife order them since she started hinting the other day about ideas for my birthday present in July.

You can fly the 5m on small handles or you can fly it on medium handles. I personally use the smalls up to 6m and the large from 10m on. So try them and see how they work.

Flexboardz. Blokarts.
PKD Century Soulflys. NPW's. Nasa Stars.
A few other less flown oddballs,
Line sets from 10" to 328" or 2m to 100m.
worlds only AQR that works.

I prefer the small handles on my Flows.

try them out.... you might have to set them up so the brakes are tighter than you'd like, so you might have to more actively point the bottoms of the handles at the kite to put slack in the brakes.

fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...

also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

If the wind will calm down I will get out and try them this weekend with the 5m. I would much rather use my birthday gift to get something cooler than another set of handles(new wind meter maybe).

with small handles you can also learn to control your kite by placing your hands lower from the power leaders. slightly above the center of the handle, however driving like this does require you to use a harness but youll have leverage

common practice:

more leverage, and if you go lower you can control brake more. (im lower than this and hold under the leaders)

Power do you have a extra set of long ozone handles you were looking to get rid of? I am in the same situation as power kiter and was thinking the 5m flow would be a little easier to move around with a little more leverage, if so let me know

I was finally able to get out today in lighter winds with the 5m Flow and small handles, and IMO the small handles will work just fine. The winds were 8 to 10 mph gusting up to 15 and the small handles worked just fine, I even had the brake lines at the same setting that I fly the 3m brakes at.
