use a leash with Apex 7.5?

I am just starting out with my first depower foil kite, for land use - an HQ Apex 7.5m. It is obviously a powerful machine indeed.
Do others use a leash with that kite and if so where do you connect it?
Also any tips on set up and use of the kite?

you could use one but not really necessary. If you did use one you would attach it to your harness and the other end to the center of the landing strap or to one leader line on the bar where the lines connect to the leader. Every time I have deployed the top hat safety it has killed the kite completely. So I figure if things were bad enough that I had to deploy the chicken loop safety I wouldn't want the leash attached to me either.

Awesome kite have fun!

Good point on not using a leash Dakitez. What if offers is a third level of release and in an emergency there probably is not time for 3 separate devices to be activated.
I like the fact that a foil kite, flagged out, is much less prone to taking off on its own from the ground after dropping it in an urgent situation..

The big upside to a leash with that kite is less for safety and more if the CL comes loose from your harness.

that is a good point. I have had people have difficulty with the donkey dick not locking in the chicken loop to the harness. I use a rolling spreader bar to use with CL or strop and I have bungee on my spreader bar to lock in the CL or Spreader so I never use the donkey dick. In fact I removed it last time out because it was in the way and I got tired of it.
