Love arc relaunch on water

Was out today getting trashed by the waves and dumped the syn in the surf a couple times.... All i needed was pressure on the lines and it launched itself.....

It just floats on top of the whitewater and waits for you to get your sh** together.........

Poor aj ...

I've yet to find out how well arcs relaunch - the only time I've put mine down has been to land and pack up :dunno:

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Mood: low winds here I come

[*] posted on 19-5-2010 at 09:37 PM

Well I learned yesterday that you NEED the right wind for relaunch (at least with my skills I do!) I was out in what started as a 13mph session with the synergy. Once I got too close to the ground ( people were watching so I decided to do a couple loops just for show) and she went down softly on its leading edge :embarrased:. I relaunched quite easily within 25-30 seconds. By the end of the session the wind died down and on one pass across the field I bailed and pulled the kite to the ground. In the low wind I got it to taco but no matter what I did it wouldn't open up and take off. Was thinking to myself that I'd have my hands full relaunching in the water but also remembered that when I am out in the water there will be enough wind to pull myself out of the water so there should be a good amount of wind to easily relaunch the kite.

Thanks for sharing
Shaggs

Mood: Ready for some sand!

One day I'll either get more adventous and start jumping higher and wipe out and have to re-launch... or do something stupid and crash one in the water. Clipped the tip on my Scorpionin a wave yesterday... but it came back up. Rolled in a few waves, but let go of the bar and it was waitingfor me in the sky.... but one day I know I'll have to water re-launch, just hasn't happened yet. But for now I'm happywith speedruns and little bunny jumps (and no water relaunches).

What do you do with your foils?

Charger 8, 12, 19
Scorpion 10, 16
And other foils...
