Kite Buggy
Hello, I am looking for used or new buggy for sale, I don't wish to spend more than $300. Need something for a newbie, because I am. There was
Rockwille kite buggy that sold for $200 and and other for $290, and one Romano for $200 but I read and found that those buggies are are sold by the
same individual who is trying to scam people and sell bad product. So I'm looking for something without any flaws and is worth the money. But truly
$500 for three wheel is a bit too expensive so I want to keep lower than that. So if anyone has any buggy that is in decent condition I would like to
buy it under $300 preferably under $200.
If anyone is into remote control hobbies I have Vendetta st car that I spent more than $500 on and will trade happily.
Thank you
Artur

Welcome, and good luck. There were some peter lynn's on here a while ago. Look in the for sale section. I think rippsessions had one. Quite a
while ago there was a rockville that had a couple of holes drilled in it. Hopefully you will come up with something.

good luck and remember--you usually get what you pay for....... save some money and get a flexifoil or libre--they will last forever if you maintain
them and the resale is high.......

We picked up one of the PL that were on here. It is a nice little beginner. But if you are my size you will be cramped on it. 6'3" 200lbs. My knees
are high on it. But light and fun and a good starter for The Kid.

I'm actually 5`6 160 pounds so I think any small buggy would fit me. So are you selling Pl (peter lynn?)?

Sorry The Kid has taken over the PL peter lynn buggy. He is a little bit bigger and heavier than you. And the fit is fine for now.

Look for a PL or Flexi...I'm 5'11" 200lbs and my PL is fine....great starter bug imho, or if you like freestyle riding both PL and Flexi are good
options

artur310, that link that Mougl posted is a good opportunity and from a good seller. Take it if you can. You won't see much better than that for a
decent bug- much better than a Rockville.

I have been looking at kites for a while now and just wonder what would suit me. I have pansh ace 2.5 and about to buy pansh ace 3.0 and 4.5 as one
package for 249, unless anyone could recommend something better.

What are average wind speeds where you live? Are you going to be flying near the coast or inland? How much do you weigh? Do you plan to buggy
primarily?
A lot of questions I know, but they all make a difference in kite choice

the:Ange09: winds speed is usually a bit higher there I been there dozen times or so. I weight 160 lb and yes I will be going there once a week or
so. Thank you for any responses. :Ange09:

Hmm...well I can't say that I've ever used an ace in a buggy, but I don't think I ever would. Aces as you probably know are lifty beasts and when
learning how to buggy that's the last thing you want. Going to the shore, I'm sure the wind is usually above the current conditions hehe.
I would look for something 4-5 meter, low lift, and stable. When the wind is too strong for that one, u still have your small ace but be very careful
with it in a bug. PL Hornet and PL Vipers are super nice kites and won't break the bank. Keep an eye on the for sale forum here too because a lot of
great deals come thru regularly.
If you decide to go depower in the future, the HQ Apex II is a great kite for the buggy. Love mine!!
Any of the kites I mentioned will serve you well. Low lift, stable, and very forgiving. There are many others out there that will work also, these are
just my personal preference.

Hey mougl, just wonder if how you feel about your apex, do you think you should have gotten a smaller one 7.5 meters or 10 meters is working out ok?

You can't buggy at Ocean shores or anywhere else on the WA Coast. NAPKRA.org is holding some events with special permits that are allowing Buggies for
Demonstration purposes. You Should come out to the Event this weekend at Moclips beach to talk to people about kites and buggies. There should be
several different types of buggies to check out. And too many kites to count. Event is June 12th-14th.
You will not be able to pilot a buggy but there may be a buggy with a trailer you can ride in. Are you over 18? If not parents signature is required.

I LOVE my Apex
Actually, i was a bit skeptical that the 10m would be enough with the wind conditions here but wow, I had no reason to be! It can be a handful when
winds hit 20ish, thats when I wish I had the 7.5, but thats a RARE instance here. I'm quite happy with the 10m, now I just wish I had more space to
really open her up!
I had my choice of kites at the JIBE event, but I kept running back to the green monster (Apex). It's easy going on that kite for the most part, but
pull that bar in and the power builds gently. Before you know it, you're screaming down the beach. If it gets to be too much, let the bar out and she
tames right down. Great depower on this kite!
I also like the Apex II because its a VERY forgiving kite. Being my first depower, i needed that. The tips dont fold easily, turn speed is good for
its size, it's stable as they get, and it's very low lift.
If you do happen to get in trouble with the Apex II, just one quick pull of the top hat safety and the kite fully depowers, and falls gently to the
ground. If for some reason you are STILL in trouble after pulling the top hat, there is also a QR on the chicken loop so the kite completely detaches
from your harness.
Again, LOVE my Apex II and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another!

Hey vwbrian since I'm newbie, Is there a law that prohibits to kite buggy at place such as Ocean Shores? I'm 21 and didn't think there would be any
laws to let people go buggy at the beach.

Yes there is a stupid law that does not allow windpowered vehicals on State Hiways and the Beach is considered a State Highway by WA State. If you
plan on getting into the sport and riding on the coast the Park rangers will tell you to leave or stop. No one has ever gotten a ticket for bugging.
So the Law has not been tested. Please don't test the Law as you would need a large sum of money to defend yourself and if you were to lose the case
It would be very bad for all buggiers.
Please come to the NAPKRA.org event at Moclips beach this weekend and discuss it with the Organization that is trying to open WA beaches to
Windpowered vehicals.
If you would like to Pilot a buggy at the event you will have to join Napkra. I have an extra buggy you could use to test the ride. See my signature
for a link to the Napkra registration.

The ST buggy (normally sells for 399.00) is okay but a little more would get you the better XR+ (519.00) used is around 375.00.
I have new and used XR+
I will be at the long beach event this coming weekend if you need one to use.
Assuming we can get Wash Beaches open you would be better off with a Bigfoot buggy on some of the beaches.

we are just north of the border (BC) or south in the next state (OR)

my little buddy beat me to this, but I agree with him 100%. I do not even offer the ST version. The money is not enough difference between the St and
Xr+ to justify the quality difference

Hey! I like that little buggy......Maybe it is time for me to upgrade. I got the wide tires though and it packs down to nothing. Turns on a dime.

VW Does the State law allow people to sit on lawn chairs on the State hiway? I believe this is a catch 22 issue. I think this direction would an
easier challage and would not effect other buggiers. Although could be unhealthy.
