Flew my first flysurfer........

Uneventful, pretty much like any other foil kite....

Light winds 10-12mph... Pulse 10..

Hot launched, it started up slow and gradually filled... What light bar pressure, its on soft steering....

Did some scudding and just getting a feel for it... After it was up I noticed the 5th line was wrapped 1 turn around the center lines..

Landed the kite w/ the outside line landing loops... Easy...Stuck the loops around a stake which i remembered...

Undid the 5th line little metal connector to unwrap it from the center lines... had a little trouble hooking it back up, you have to pass one line thru the loop of the other otherwise it sits crooked.... At least thats how all the others are connected....

I cant believe arc and foils aren't more popular, they sure are easier to use..... I delayed starting kitesurfing cause the tube kites were such a pain when your solo......

Thank you PKF for enlightening me............ I'll happily take all the snide comments and upturned noses as i'm riding and they're still setting up..................

didn't mean to write a book

When the wind is going I don't even prefill. from a side launch just sand on the folded over wingtip (as in the video). Bring the downwind wingtip up, catch some air, pull on the front lines by grabbing the depower strap, steer to the side and she is up and inflated.

It takes the most time for me in flight prep to makesure the lines are not tangled. I think I may try setting up to hot launch to make sure the lines are straight first and then walk across to do a side launch. I don't like removing those little metal line attachement bits. I know some day one will get dropped, disappear in the sand and kite time will be cut short. Need to get some spares.

I need some advice on hard vs. soft steering setting for beginning to kitesurf. I have it set one knot from center toward hard steering.

I have yet to do the mixer check.

It is good to have some fellow Pulse owners for advice! I have the only one amongst the tubes.

You can get away with a few twists on the 5th as long as it is running free. It is still good + important to check it .

Yes, that delay in fill makes the 1st hot launch smooth.

A agree about the Flysurfer being more simple than LEI but have 2 minds about how simple the arcs are in handling alone, fast.
