Harness use with ATB
I've been flying an HQ Beamer 2.5 for several months now and just recently decided to buy a mountainboard to use with it. My question, and I hope it
isn't a dumb one, is whether it is adviseable or even possible to use a harness in conjunction with kite handles. If this is a good idea for kite-ATB
then which particular harness would you recommend for use with kite handles? Thanks for any input,

Not a dumb question at all. Yes, using a harness is possible with handles. This is done by attaching a strop between the handles that hooks into the
spreader bar (see pic). Get plenty of time flying "hooked in" before you get on your board to get used to it. You will also find when you move up to
larger kites the harness will take loads of strain off of your arms allowing you to extend your sessions. Try a seat and a waist harness to see which
is more comfortable, buggiers generally use seat harnesses while kiteboarders and kitesurfers tend towards using a waist harness. Personally I use a
Da Kine seat harness.

Bill,
How do you find your dakine harness in a buggy? Is it comftorable, or mobile enough?

Since I ATB and am learning to kitesurf I am finding the spreader bar sets a bit too low for my liking. I will probably pick up a waist harness before
too long. It's not bad with the buggy, but I do find myself unhooking quite a bit, maybe more so do to our incredibly bumpy midwestern winds and very,
very short runs than because of the type of harness.
