1st solo inland session

I purchased a PL Bigfoot earler this month at JIBE and still wondering what took me so long to buy a buggy.................anyway winds were 10 to 15 at the fair grounds which is a nice spot to bug or board............turns are getting much better and no Fred Flinstones today..........even had a couple slides coming out of the turns...........one thing for sure.......its alot hotter inland and on land vs the beach and water............................great fun.................back to the coast tomorrow for a low tide sandbar buggy session then water..................my version of surf and turf............................:thumbup:

did you just make this up? or is a Fred Flinstone something in the buggy world all of us should know?

Got a pretty good idea what a FF is. I know I was doing some FF moves at JIBE in front of the whole world. I had no idea that such a thing had been labeled. ROFL

If you ever want some company at this fair ground place, give me a shout. Sweet thang and I will drive down and join ya for a day. Sundays even look good for a drive now that I'm on second shift. I'll have some Sats, off too from time to time.

Laters,
Fred

yep its a big place but what you think about it being so far inland and in the middle of Columbia?

might be really gusty.

but its a good suggestion. We also need to talk with pokitetrash and see when he is gona hit the polo field.

you have 2 ARCs so gust are of no concern to you.....................Willy B will be fine
Made it out in the bug 3 days in a row and loved it.....................turns have def improved and started down looping at the end of the third day..............knowing your kite and timing from the water seemed to help...............no idea on speed but need to purchase a GPS.................for all of you that know the Hooptie, the buggy fits in with one wheel out of the hatch but a pad and bungy its GTG.....................

Just remember, whatever is going wrong while you are riding in the buggy, it will get much worse if you put your feet on the ground! But its cool when coming in to stop and get out of the buggy once you drop below walking speed. Be careful on the parking lots. The low rolling resistance/high grip could be a bad combo to be overpowered in. Small kites rule here.

tridude, its great to see you posting about your buggy experiences now. Welcome to my world.

Opps, better get two then Phree. LOL

Don I ended up today getting an etrex Legend. Used 60 bucks. local on craigs. I didnt think he would respond due to asking 90 and being offered 60 but he did.

About got it figured out. Seems like a pretty cool toy. Different than the car GPS. Would have loved this thing on the hiking trips.

You might as well pick one up. Probably work in the surf also.
Garmin makes lots of different models of etrex. Lots of the buggy riders at JIBE used etrex.

The Polo Field (OOBE Field) is only 15 minutes from my house so anyone who wants to fly there, anytime, just get in touch with me. I try to go at least once a week when it's not POLO season (which it's NOT!!It ended last weekend until the end of August!)

Actually, been thinking of a summer meet up since we all had so much fun at the OOBE Field Chilli Run last winter. Maybe call it the "Thunder Run" since we get great wind just about every day in the summer between 2-5 pm but might have to dodge the common afternoon thunderstorms.
Any suggestions for dates? I can start a meet up thread.

Tridude, glad you are getting on well with the Bigfoot. Your accessory pack is on the way up to you; left yesterday. Spare seat, splash guard, siderail pads, bearings..
