I'd most certianly like to go, but I was barely able to schelp the fam to grayland, so I likley won't be able to make it that extra distance.
Hopefuly I can make it a day trip for just me, but I won't be able to stay for the duration. I do however plan to use my multi-day me-only pass for
long beach and sobb :wink2:

got a few questions before I comit to this event: Long Beach Demo #1 - Jun 19-21 at Klipsan Beach, WA
1. what type of buggy do I need? the last time I was WSIKF it was soft sand, I hear its further up and its hard packed?
2. if the wind is up and blown the wrong direction, can I kitesurf there?
***Ill need to borrow someone's highwind board too, please***
3. whats the speed limit??? if I need to hold back speed, Ill close my eyes and think of my local turf.
4. pants or pink skirt???

Rip short answers from iPhone.
1. I'll check the beach tomorrow 8th and see what kind of space we have. I always run my bigfoots.
2. Kite surf ? I don't have an answer here.
3. Speed limit 25. These are events with us in our best behavior. Which brings up the last comment. I don't know how the locals will react to a pink
skirt. Up to you. I can just tell them he's from up north.
Last. After tonight's public meeting I and maybe others will be doing some work with some horse folks to get their horses aclimated to kites. This was
the horse folks idea. A step in the right direction.
Please, keep this on mind at all events, if there are horses around either turn around or park the kite until the horse passes. Think of the animal.

Not only the animal, but who wants to be responsible for a horse freaking out and bucking the rider. Which more times than not happens to be a young
girl.
There is just no need to take that chance.

Klipsan Beach lots of soft sand. High tide mark was way out there. With that being said, there was also lots of soft sand between the approach and the
harder sand. check it out before driving through. Klipsan beach approach was best. But everything changes daily. Also I am a little more paranoid
about it then others.
Pacific Beach great approachs. We will meet on the North side of Annelyde Gap Rd. About a mile or less North of Pacific Beach State Park. South of
Annelyde is restricted to traffic, so park to the North away from the approach. Be prepared for small creek crossings. Wear your water wings.
Folks at Ocean Shores meeting were a little more vocal. NO, to WPV's. But in their defense they only have youth on mopeds on their mind. Clouds their
vision for thinking logically.
As stated before, give pedestrians lots of room and watch for small children.
