By jove I think i've got it.... Winds the usual straight onshore, about 17mph... Pulse 10 and my new board....

Get up and go, edge hard on the downturn, ease up on the upturn.. Up and over the inside breaking waves, nothing pretty but i'm still going......Lose power trying to go the other way, fall down and start over...

Away I go. Up and over the waves, and even starting to head out to sea.... Bigger waves, crash... lol....

Back and forth, the only reason to turn around is people in the water...

Can't get the timing right for a smooth transition, but I think it will come....


Was trying really hard to control my speed today.. Usually I get going too fast, lose my edge and race downwind toward shore...

Had a few runs where i just parked the kite and sheeted in-out to control power..
Who knows, maybe before long I can go to some of the choice spots and not be a hazard to other kiters... As usual I was the only one out today..

Yesterday there was one other guy out on a 17 Ozone zephyr, I was on my pulse, a little underpowered.. He didnt look like he was doing much better.. That kite looks like an airship.. He could have had a pretty speed for what he paid for it......

Any ways, Thanks for everyones input, your comments have helped me... Especially PHREES, his advice to me and others is always spot on....

It's a shame I have to spend the next week in Cabo surfing w/ no kites.... Can't fit my board in my suitcase.. Maybe I can modify it.....................

nice......................10m Pulse is a great wave machine..............take your kite and find a piece of plywood or rent a surfboard................Pulse strapless is alot of fun...................................

Sounds like you had a blast. I cant wait to try, just getting set up for it now.

Go to La Ventana up the coast on the Sea of Cortez. It is a kitesurfing paradise. I am sure you could rent or borrow a board there.

I sent them an email but they're closed from april to october.....
