Proof Behind Boat

Having some ideas of launching from a boat, but until then been riding the Proof some.

At the end I was trying to just ride sideways on the crest of the boat wake by keeping the fins out of the water, worked for a second.

Was speaking with Phree about speed of the daily grind vid he posted and didn't want to totally HJ his post so I put it here.

right on rocky! nice one!

the lift vector from the kite makes the water start much easier.

way on the outside are the edging elements that are similar .

That looks like fun  did some slalom stuff when I was a teenager, but a lack of friends with boats and wads of spare cash put paid to that :(

I have been down this road on the wakeboard. If I may offer some free advise:

You are doing great...when trying to stay on the wake and "butter" in the foam stay on your heels and change your weight from your feet (left and right) to stay on top.

I have gone down MANY times just like you in the vid and it is really important to keep the front edge up...you know this by now....

Also yo may try practicing going goofy foot off the wake for some practice....

Another really fun thing to practice is coming to the wake from the outside regular foot...hitting the butter (foam) and riding away switch back to the outside....VERY FUN!!!! and looks cool!

Good Luck!!

Thanks for the advice. I hope to get some more riding in soon.

I want to try the switching goofy foot. With the kite I see you guys going both ways like its nothing.

On the ATB I like the left foot forward and on the water I like the right foot forward. Somethings wrong somewhere.

If I don't forget how to launch a kite maybe it will come together one day.

Damned feet! I have to ride both ways then figure out how badly I'm going upwind before I'm sure which is my goofy side now
I'm the same though - stronger (or more confident) left forward on land, right on water ... although that may just be that going into the waves and current is easier than coming in with it.
Find it easier to slide and turn one way than the other ... but can't remember which :D
