reason to NOT basejump
There was a base jumper killed today in suffolk va today. I know I said if I had NicS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s job I would jump off the cell tower.:wee:
It was not me , just thought I would let everyone know. Don't want you folks thinkin' weldngod's dead just yet.;-)

Apparently 2 of them did it together. Last year a group of base jumpers jumped off a TV tower and 1 of them clipped a high power line and killed
power to a lot of people. They got away and never got caught. I sure hope it wasn't any of the SEALs I have worked with in the last few yrs. Those
guys are CRAZY, and I sure am glad they are on our side.
really sad day in the NAVY community. I'm sure this will make the national news.

I have worked on the tower he jumped off of
1000 ft + tv towers are one
thing but that tower is under 300 ft, at that height there is no time to deploy any thing
