boards are readily available due to the high number of ski resorts in these areas mentioned, also forgot to mention Valles Cauldera in New Mexico.
dormant volcano in the mountains with deep snow and huge flats. With your board skills it will be automatic to switch to snow. good luck

I don't want to be a downer but I wouldn't expect to just get up on a snowboard and be able to go because you have surfed. Buoyancy and sliding on
snow are gonna be a bit different i would imagine. I have not surfed but have snowboarded with surfers who had no snowbaord experience and it wasn't
pretty :o

Utah is going to be one of your best bets for rental kite specific boards and a lesson or two to get you going. There is a forum that will get you
some good contacts before your trip. If you need some more info just PM me.

I agree with Rando here. Learning to ski or snowboard for the first time can be hard enough but learning to do it while dealing with the kite makes
things a little bit more complicated.
I would schedule a lesson first and get the basics of snowboarding then work on applying it to the kite.
It could be the deal breaker on how your vacation goes.

Don't be discouraged, most people with minimal kite and board skills are up and riding and going upwind in 1 hour on snow, snowboarding downhill is
a whole different world .
