Is the pulse1 13 any good?

I like my 10M Pulse. It depends on how much you weigh. I am 185-190lbs and have used it from 15 to 30mph. Sweet spot is 22. What is your typical wind speed? I have not flown a 13 or P2 12. It has shorter bridals and slightly higher aspect ratio. Born2fly has one.

How do you like the OR Rise? Is there a difference between 08 and 09. I am looking at an 8M for 30mph days.

The 08's are great. I have had the 09 12m out one time. there almost the same. OR makes a good kite.
If you find a great deal on a 08 don't think twice.

Not familiar with the P2 but a friend uses his 13m as a one kite quiver and wasn't left out on many days.

i had both(nephew has 13m now) and couldn't really tell the diff when i flew them back to back.
* i'm not a hardcore user, just buggy with kites and not in upper wind range/limit of kite(s) when kite is at it's edge/peak performance.
i assume the FS advertising would hold true but it would take a more advanced user than myself, or flying in upper limit, to realize the differences.
can't lose with either one I'd say.
