Don't jump with a 3m kite. That's really all you're going to get told.

The landings are hard because you can't get any float out of a kite smaller than about 5m. Most jumping that you see on videos is done with depower kites (not fixed bridle like the Flow) that are probably at least 8m. The Flow is an excellent kite, but a bad choice for jumping as it is designed for lower lift.

Is your Flow on handles or on a bar?

It can certainly be used for a board, although many people prefer depower for any sort of board sport (water, snow, ground). Generally because a bar is easier when you're trying to balance, easier to hook into a harness, and because gusts are a little less likely to pull you over. The first two reasons aren't impossible for a fixed bridle, they can be on a bar and you can use a harness, but the third reason is pretty good on it's own. However, all that aside, I did my first boarding with a 3m Scout in 25mph winds. So it can be done...

I'm like a gajillion stone and I can 'jump' on my 3.5 Cult - with A LOT of wind  there's little clips on YouTube of the "Pendulum Jump" technique but with such a small kite, it's like Mav says - not a good idea. And not impressive

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Be careful jumping with the flow. It is designed to produce more pull than lift. This means that if you get it wrong the kite may throw you into the ground downwind. If you are trying to do a jump and feel you are getting thrown rather than lifted , let go right away.

Fly the heck out of that thing ! Try and learn to fly it without looking at it. Just by feel. VERY important skill moving forward.

Unless you can convert to a bar for cheap I would suggest you put the " bar " money towards your next kite or a harness. You are already getting the most out of your Flow with the handles.

Flow aren't particularly good for jumping in any size, but if you love the Flow, I'd suggest something like the Ozone Frenzy. Ozone makes great kites, all you need to do is choose the correct one for what you wish to do.

I agree that looking at a depower for your next kite is a good move if you like jumping and hope to board. Next thing on your list should be a harness so you can get used to flying hooked in. + it increases your amount of fly time. In turn speeding your learning curve up.
