Going nowhere fast

Hi, Just bought a 3.5 meter Flexifoil Bullet with a Scrub Silver Reef II, I'm 6ft+ and 100kgs, bloke in the shop said the kite would be big enough but I don't seem to be able to get any speed up; however, my kite control isn't the best, it doesn't want to stay in the same place in the sky, it's fine when it hits the middle of the "wind window", get loads of pull, but can't keep it there and it flies past the "power zone" to the edges of the window where I lose power! Is there a way to keep the kite smack in the middle of the "wind window" at the right angle without it going up or down! Surely my technique ain't that bad ......... is it?:flaming:

Try Kite Looping and or sharp Sinusoidal waving of the kite. If you are being pulled on grass, it's Always more drag, so even more power is needed as well as faster kite re-position that will get you what you want.

Note - It's not the size of kite - it's wind speed that will have the greatest effect on you. Also, a helmet is always advisable.

Have a great day.
