Its a Pansh Blaze II 7m...

I know, I know somone will now say.. Its a Chinese kite you should go fro a brand name. .But as kite(whatever)ing will be my 3rd hobby beside snowboarding that will always go first, and paintballing that is currently second. I didnt have so big buget to get some pro brand name depower kite. For learning this one will do great I suppose :)

Going to hard to beat this:

FOR SALE 25M LINES NEW DEPOWER BAR NEW
  • 65 dollars for the lines
  • 150 for the bar
  • both for 200 dollars
  • they are both brand new
Shipping will be the problem, but that might be doable as an International Priority Flate Rate. Currency exchange might help some too, depending on which way it is currently skewed.

Did you ever find alternate wheels for your board?

ATB,
Sam

Tough call. I've had a few come to me in the same situation, only to find out that a new bar and line rig will be more than you paid for the kite.

Sometimes used bars from earlier c-kites and such show up cheap on e-bay but you have to know what to look for to make the the safety will adapt. Anyone know how a Blaze II dumps to safety?

If I can somehow help with get the info you need to explain me what kind of bar should I look for please tell me. I talked to few people online that are into Pansh kites and have used quite a few of them. So probably will know what should I look for.

Only things is.. They aint online 24/7 so will have to wait for the answer some time :)

The Blaze II will work on a standard 4 line bar. It can release to a single line or it can also work with a leashless system like Ozone and others employ.

The most likely deal with be on a basic 4 line bar or an ultra cheap kite RTF.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

I see.

How much did technology of the bar advanced in last 4-5 years? Would buying a bar from 2006 and above be a stupid move? As I have seen alot of LEI kites selling with bars for small money.. As they are old and used alot (or just old....) but come with bar..

LIke this.. Auction just ended. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280...

So do you poeple say. I go for a kite like this and just take the bar... Whatever the kite is if a bar is in good shape?

Bars have not changed as much like kites have. General layout and mechanics are the same. Perfectly rational to buy and old kite with bar and chuck the kite in some cases. Especially older C-kites that are not as safe as newer ones and the sellers know that they are not worth much.

That is sort of the idea.

Bars come in different lengths . That big kite will have a big bar. It will work but a smaller kite will likely come with a more appropriate sized bar for a 7m.

I wonder for shipping reasons if , after you have made the purchace you couldn't request that the owner DESTROY the old C-kite and send bar/ lines only. People around here seem to think destroying those old kites is a good idea but I'm not sure I agree?

You CAN use a C kite on land. I would not advise it until you have matered your 7m though.

That last picture is a bit hard to tell?

That is an Ocean Rodeo " Punch out " release on the chicken loop. That will do but I'm not SURE I see a trim strap. Confirm it has a " Trim Strap "

NOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I forgot to mention : You will NEED a safety leash with the bar. ( unless it is a leashless safety system ) I would never sell a bar without but you MUST ASK !!!!! If not a leash will set you back another $20 plus !

This is what the seller says about it :)

2006 Ocean Rodeo SLE Punch Out Bar with Lines. 60cm (The big one) Selling this kitesurfing control bar. It's old but still in working condition. The lines and the depower line look ok although colours have all faded. It's a 4 line bar for use with SLE type kites (bridled kites) and no 5th line. The safety works by depowering the kite on the front 2 lines. It has an extremely long throw on the bar.

About that trim strap.. If the seller says it in working condition.. That would mean its complete?

Safty leash I have...

The Blaze II will stay powered up if dumped on on the front lines I'm pretty sure but someone else will correct me if wrong. Ken?

Mood: Go Fly A Kite!

[*] posted on 29-8-2010 at 12:46 PM

Good luck mate. It sounds to me you have little experience with a de-power. You can buy any de-power bar to make work, but that is just it you are going to have to make it work. You are not going to be able to buy a bar and connect it and the kite be ready to fly. You are going to have to make many adjustments on the kite. many of these you will have to make during flight time to tune the bar to the kite. If you are not very experienced in this I would highly recommend you find someone local who can help you. If you can not find someone local then sell the kite and buy a kite that comes complete and ready to fly.
This is the biggest problem with the Pansh blaze II is that they do not come ready to fly and there is not even an option from pansh to get it ready to fly. So you have to create your own. Maybe you can contact blake on this forum and he might have a bar for you that will be very closely tuned and you can fine tune it on your own.

The safety on the blaze II is activated by pulling the trailing edge lines. So it is basically the same set up as a hq apex. trailing edge lines to the out side of the bar and main lines to the center. when you deploy the safety the center lines release .. thus all the pull is on the trailing edge lines. Same idea as kite killers on a fixed bridle

@DAKITEZ

Thanks for the advice. Yes I am aware punsh needs some adjusting. And yes it true I have no expirience with de-powers. I must I only rely on my previous expirience with FB kite and lets say good understanding of winds..

I also had to do some adjusments to my kite to make it fly good soo have some expirience and knowledge about kite build etc.. Its all limited ofcourse but enough to understand when someone tryes to explain me something about adjusting kites..

Ofcouse the good thing is there are some people, just a few really, that are kite experts here that I can also ask a few thing..

Anyways.. I got the bar.. I just now have to hope I will have as little problems as possible :)

http://i.ebayimg.com/05/%21B07PkgQCGk%7E$%28KGrHqZ,%21hgEw5,...

What do you think about that and the pansh blaze II combination? Its if I got it good airush Power Glide bar

That should work ! Even comes with a leash.

With this set up your kite will release to a single rear line. Acceptable form of safety but the lines can get messy making relaunch less easy than the leashless / 2 rear line set-up specifically for foils.

Getting it to work should be pretty straight forward. Just be sure all lines are equal with trim out to start. Look to Ozone or similar manuals for set-up .

As you know Blake is your Blaze II go II guy!

hope u didnt buy the SLE bar for your kite, as the throw on the chicken loop line can be very long compared to a regular c kite. just get a regular depower bar or C kite bar do not however get a SLE or bow kite bar. as for pansh needing alot of adjustments well i didnt have any problems with mines i think alot of the guys that say that never flew a pansh kite a day in their life, anyways mine flew nicely . just make sure your back lines are loose and not too tight as to stall the kite.
