Used GI Board

Hi guys,

The UND SKC got me hooked on kiting last year and I bought a 10m syn off here late last year and rocked the snow and water and now I'm looking to expand to the grass.

I'd like to find a used GI flight/flight lite/AK or something along those lines. Ideally I'd like an 08 GI flight lite 100 but thats asking a lot. I'm 6' 160lbs and looking to get some air so I'm looking for a smaller board.

Since I'm in college I don't exactly have cash just laying around so I'm going to be waiting until I find a good deal (hopefully less than $150). If anybody is looking to get rid of something like that please let me know.

Also once I acquire some more funds I'll be looking for a 12m or 15m syn or charger ko or rtf to go bigger this winter if anyone is thinking of selling one of those

Thanks,
Chad

Charger 15m, Red/ Gray, Complete, Peter Lynn, Used - $1,010

charger 15m on ikitesurf for $600 (12M Charger at same price)

Reduced. RTF 15m Rasta Synergy - $600

If you use the Search function just below the Forum logo, search back 3-6 months in the For Sale Section, cull for orphans, and I am sure you will find others.

A couple of folks have GI boards that they are looking to move on.... give it a little time and you should get some responses. Some may be about the $150 mark though. Shipping charges might burn a little.

ATB,
Sam

Pay close attention to your stance width when getting a board! Not much is as sad as getting a smoking deal on a sick board that.....you won't ever be able to use because the stance is tiny.

Anybody buy anything from Desert Wind Kiteboarding? I would like to buy a board from him and I'm about 99% sure he's legit but I just wanted to make sure. He replied by email so Im not sure what his username is.

No offense Desert Wind but I want to be absolutely positive everything will go smoothly bc if something didn't I wouldn't have the funds to buy another one.

Thanks,
CHad

No experience....

Assume the username is the one associated with this profile: DesertWindKiteboarding

Which board you lookin' at?

Have to say it.... generally speaking, most manufacturer's dealer lists are just absolutely horrendous. Just can't imagine it would be that hard to keep them updated online.

The board is a 2010 GI Prodigy and everything looks pretty legit so I'm going to go through with it. If everything goes according to plan (which I have no reason to think it won't), I'll definitely add his name to the good seller list.

Getting more stoked by the minute!,

FYI .. make sure he has it in stock and is not planning on having it drop shipped from GI. GI is out of the prodigy right now.

There is a demo board listed for sale on the product page, so it might be that. Doesn't specify 2009 or 2010... hopefully Bionics (or at least the pre-2010 tip angle)... not sure how happy hollow skates are for jumping with a kite.

Yeah he said the board was used twice during teaching sessions for his students. Not sure about hollow/bionics tho... Its a 2010 so I would assume the hollow skate trucks...hopefully thats not a problem.

I got my board today and everything looks awesome. I can't wait to get out and try it. I have to give a big thumbs up to DesertWindKiteboarding, he kept me up to date on everything and got the board in the mail in a hurry.
