I've got a 12m 2005 Ozone Frenzy. I've got no problem jumping and going big, pretty comfortable while I'm in the air.
I've seen some videos of guys using LEI's Jumping and putting the kite into a loop to get more power. Would this be possible with my 12m frenzy or is
it going to be too slow to loop fast enough and end up throwing me into the ground?
Also, when doing this, instead of redirecting do i just the kite's momentum going and send it through a loop then back to the zenith?
i dont know how fast the 12m will loop but a good way to see if it would be possible is to downloop it at the end of a run and change direction. this
will give you a guide to how much power it will generate and how fast it is aswell.
once you have assessed whether its fast enough the only bit of advice i will give you on the loop is commit!!!!
definitely commit! be patient, let the loop finish and set up landing for down wind w/speed. get your head back right before it powers through and
go with the speed get back on edge after speed wanes a bit.
water or land ?? the same really, penalty for failure is different for sure
10-12mph on land is a good start with reasonable speeds
on the water around 15mph, def under 20mph is good start , after 20 things start getting brutal and very fast and the whipping through (and under
the kite) is more radical.
like Carl stated check it on the corners with the down loop.
a transition air with a downloop finish is what it going to feel like. very cool, super speedy
No chance. I looked at how slow a downloop was compared to someone riding a Peter Lynn. I'd have to boost 20+ feet in the air, even then I might not
have time to get the loop around.
What other kind of jumps can I do other than a pendulum? I've got that down, is there any other way to get huge and stay in control with a foil?
I just got 360's down yesterday, I think I'll be ready for 720's once the snow hits
At least this thread explains your issue with the Frenzy, that you thought the Ranger was so much better. I forgot that you were using an '05.
Though there was a guy Vince at Tug Hill in January going big on an '05 Frenzy.
