No, because the Neo II uses a fifth line safety, it release from the chicken loop to a leash. It does not use the leash-less re-ride safety of the
open cell foils (the one between the bar and the kite). The Neo I did not have a fifth line and used the leash-less re-ride safety, but many users
complained that it did not depower the kite properly. The chicken loop safety on the Neo II drops it to the fifth line (assuming that you have your
leash attached), otherwise it disconnects the kite completely. See page 28 and 30 in the
manual.
