Just What is an Intermediate-Expert?

Ok, every kite manufacturer says this or that kite is for "Intermediates - Experts". So what does it take to be one?

I think it's those who have at least two kites and who never have to ask the question...

"Which kite should I buy?" etc. etc.

Just like anything else, you should have a good bit of kiting experience before buying. There are a few things above that would qualify you, but not only one, it takes all. Just knowing about the wind window will not save you. You need also to understand at what winds you are comfortable with what kite, and realize just because the nutter down the field is flying something huge and is doing fine, doesnt mean you can too. You need to have full control of whatever kite you want. Your kite should never end up where you do not want it. I know there are situations where you will be caught unaware, and something will happen, but even this happens less and less are you move away from intermediate, and closer to expert. I hope this sheds a bit of light, and keeps someone from getting hurt.
