Been lusting over those for some time now, I've gotta say a HUD compass & speed indicator would certainly be sweeeeeet.

I will wait to see how impact resistant they are. If they can be broken I can do it. A couple good OBE's and what then? Plus I guess in a couple years when I have saved up this much cash they should be much cheaper. But maybe not.

these a very nice, but not the first consumer product by any means. I'll be interested to see how the hud really displays is varying conditions. For the price it sounds like they might have put the money in. We'll see. It's either crap or nice, who's spending first to find out :D

Apparently Rip has already ordered one.

I am really surprised that for such a new product, they are already taken custom orders for Pink units.

That's just so dang impressive

That really is cool on so many levels. I wonder if the HUD on your speed will scare the crap out of you or push you to go a little faster? It has to be better than having to look down at the gps.

I'm first on the "Pass the Goggles" list. :smug::smilegrin:

hmm, i highly doubt the pass the google thing will happen since I will not let mine out of my sight. you could try to connivence Kitebuggy Mama as she isnt so much into the Kitebuggy Gadgets.

going fast is totally a mind game you play. I figured that looking down on the downtube or at my waist was more difficult than one would think. when you're going at 100 km/h+ you really dont want to lose sight of your heading direction and your kite as well. than again also last year when Mama and I did the two person / one buggy run, she had the GPS and it also helped that she was screaming "go faster". in the end, who knows ... my courage juice is RedBull.

just an update, that Recon confirmed me order just a few days ago, and stated they were still waiting for Zeal to send it this week. the earliest I hope is this coming Monday from the rep at Recon.

so stay tuned for the product video.
