plz help me with installing bar over the handles...

Hi. I'm a new here.. Last week I've purchased few kites... one of them was trainers kite. It 3.4 and has 4 lines + handles. Also, I've purchased few kites ( 9 and 12 both with leading edge) made by 2007 Cabrinha both with bars.
Can i make any of this bar work with my 3.4 miter foil kite???
Today I've tried one, but it was a bigger one ( it was for 12 miter kite). Well.. anyways.. After i tried to use this bar with kite i put handles instead.. They worked way better than that bar. I don't know what to do.. I wan't to use it with bar but can't figure how to set it up
Yes, i know i scrued up that i haven't purchased any BRAND name power kite with bar instead of handles.. I didn't buy TSR or HQ Hydra. i paid almost 200 and bought it on ebay, can't return it now. I guess i will have to live with it. I've spent a lot of money recently for kites and bars and i'm just trying to get into this sport. Please if anyone has the draft of line locations and it length for 4 line foil kite - i would appreciate it a lot... Otherwise i'll have to use this handles till it snows here and then i'll get to know real kite with bar. :puzzled:

You haven't made any big mistakes in purchase I don't think. You are just trying to mix Fixed Bridle and depower kite bars and they arent a good match.

Stick with the handles on the 3.4 . Add a " strop " line to the handles and practice hooking in to your harness that way. Don't get too uptight about the fact you are learning on handles and then progressing to a depower kite. Having the handles and getting a good understanding of brake turns + applying both brakes at the same time to slow the kite or drop it back in the window. ETC. You will actually learn a LOT more about what to expect from your depower kites by learning how to work the brakes on handles and a strop than you would on a bar .

Good advice as always blade. Get a good understanding of how the kite will react to your inputs. When you can fly on handles and not have to watch the
kite all the time grab one of the de-powers and do the same.

Handles and de-power are two completely different beasts. Take it slow and these kite will put a smile on your face.
