USA event dates

Wassup fellow riders,

I'm looking for upcoming event dates for 2011. I'm trying to book all my 15 weeks of vacation that I need to use up.

Im already attending NABX and SOBB. What else is out there in the world on this side of the pond.

Thx in advance.

Tomorrow I get confirmation on the Dates of May 18-21 for JIBE from the Jekyll Island Authority. Actually the dates are in the bag, just gotta get confirmation about the use of a separate southern staging area for Saturday to keep us away from weekend "crowds" and to put the shipwreck within easier striking distance for novices.

Tides in May 2011 are such that two weekends are suitable for such an event, so it looks like WBB and JIBE can finally be scheduled apart. We are working on it. In both cases, the low tides are later in the afternoon, but that is good, as that is when the winds are often on-shore and most favorable. Leaves the mornings for family time and seeing local sights.

If it were not for the security issues in Mexico... I'd drive there and join them in the spring. They usually have a gathering at Tamiahua or La Pesca. La Pesca blows away the beach at Dead Bird and Jibe (which are both very nice places to buggy, but seem like football fields in comparison) and has spots that are as wide as the NABX site is long. It has to be one of the best spots on the entire North American Continent. Too bad the narcos rule that state right now...

What do you do with your foils?

Charger 8, 12, 19
Scorpion 10, 16
And other foils...

Flexifoil Bug, CrazyFly board, MBS atb
