Mood: Happier than Richard Simmons with a wheelbarrow full of ding dongs!!

[*] posted on 25-7-2012 at 01:34 PM

Here's the post from the top--

Decided to get rid of one of my Blokarts. We just never use 2 at once so one has to go.

It's a Sport model, meaning powder coated.

Great condition, Mechanically sound, ready to ride.
Comes with 3 meter sail and fiberglass mast. Its a few years old, has a few scratches but no defects other than rear tires are cracked but still hold air fine and the padding on the steering bar is torn. The sail has just come back from being professionally repaired by a sail shop in Oriental, NC and is excellent. The repair was from where I lost a batten at NABX going Ludicrous Speed. The batten strap beat so hard in the wind it tore out of the sail. A new one was installed and is probably stronger than OEM. I still need to replace the batten and I will pay for/order it (or them if its a set) and ship diret to you. The sail is usable as is, just high winds (25 mph plus) will flap the trailing edge (thats how it ripped).

Cost New with the 3m sail and mast around $2400 plus shipping

Selling for $1500 shipped anywhere in the US and since Shipping is around $150, you should all bow down to how generous and loveable I am! .

So $1500 including shipping!

Just a FYI, the Blokart packs down into it's own bag that you can pick up and carry around. It will fit into the trunk or back seat of most mid sized cars to hauling it around is super easy to do and almost easier than a buggy. To store it, you can hang the bag in your garage on the wall or just roll it in on it's own wheels. It takes up minimal space and assembles in less than 3 minutes.

Here is some more info on the Blokart's on my site.

Make sure to check out the video on the bottom of the page - that was taken earlier this year during the NALSA event a week before NABX at Ivanpah.

 Thanks Kent!

Mood: Craving more kiting time...

Looks like it would be a blast to have one of these... almost as much fun as a Hobie Cat, but then the Hobie cat always took up most of my garage instead of just some space on the wall (something my wife at the time was less than thrilled about). Wish I had an extra $1500 in the toy budget right now so that I could take this off your hands. Best wishes for a quick sale! Jim

A couple of Trainers,
Some Fixed Bridle Kites (1.2m - 14m),
and some Depower Kites (3m - 20m),
GI & MBS boards,
PL XR+ buggy w/ VTT upgrade kit.

I had a Hobie Cat too and it was a blast but it was like pulling teeth to get someone to sail with me. No one wanted to help step the mast and they watch their friends water skiing. I showed them the you tube vids of dudes water skiing behind a Hobie but still it was doomed. That's why im selling this extra Blokart. Just hanging on the wall.

Oh yes, the dreaded task of stepping the mast. I don't know why anyone would not like sailing on a Hobie if invited, but to each their own. I was talking to someone last night that has a bunch of kiting gear for sail on another site and she knows a lot of people into land sailing. I sent her the link for your Blokart.

Thanks for the push! We have a permanent camp site at the lake now with cheap boat storage. I can leave a boat set up with the mast stepped right by the camper. Started looking g for another one!

I've bought two great kites from you in the past (love them both) and will probably buy something else in the future when you decide you can part with it, so I may as well help where I can to sell this item. I am already jealous of your camp site with the boat storage. I could step the mast myself when I owned a 14 ft Hobie, but when I moved to a 16 ft, it became a royal pain in the butt. The economy is probably affecting all of us... I would jump on this Blokart of yours if I had the extra cash at the moment. Even post-poning the much-needed purchase of tires for my truck wouldn't help me buy this one.
