First flight with Speed2
So tomorrow its gonna be a nice warm fall day. All week we've had pretty darn strong winds and it looks to die for the day. Gonna hopefully get a
first session in with the 12m speed 2 and wondering first if it will be too light of wind to get the kite in the air and if there are any pointers one
can give when flying these things??? Usually the wind is a bit stronger than forecast calls for.
Tomorrow's forecast:
14 degrees celsius winds southwest 10km/h (6.3mph)(5.3knots)
What you guys think??

I think I'm jealous. Good look...I have not flown one yet but from everything I hear you should be very pleased. Looking forward to hearing about it.

5 knots - too light for fun. You should be able to fly it around on the beach a bit but I'm betting it'll be stall city.
Fly it like a foil - don't choke it with brakes and finesse it around turns or you're arms will kill you Push it outside the envelope and it may collapse on you but above all - enjoy it!
... oh and learn about the mixer
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

make sure to depower the kite with the trimmer, in about 2 to 3 inches should be sufficient..................fly her like you stole
her...............straight forward flying kite............keep her moving and take your KGB, once you get rolling youre gonna make apparent wind and
should get moving..........dive the kite and go downwind with her, sign a couple times, then as she rises towards 10 or 2 olclok in the window, lean
back and feel the power thru the bar and lines.......bar in to turn or sine then bar out and feel the kite run/speed towards the edge. At this point
you will be making speed as well. As she nears the edge pull in on the bar and feel the power, sine and repeat. I hauled ass in the buggy with this
kite in 9mph winds, 12mph on water.....................why did I sell it?:puzzled::puzzled: :duh::duh:
