It makes sense that jumping isn't easy with the Apex but it is curious that you have trouble with the Ace ?
Are you sure you are going about it correctly?

Bladerunner, he said axcess not apex, though neither of them are lifty kites, so your point still stands. As for the Ace... it's a Pansh? The one that I had pulled like a truck, but didn't seem particularly lifty.

I had a 6m Pansh Ace that was very lifty. As lifty as the 6.5 Flexifoil Blade that replaced it. The guy I sold it to, broke both bones in his shin after it lofted him. It's not a fast turner and is more difficult to control but something is wrong with it if its not lifty. That's one of its design characteristics. It would pick me up in winds as low as 8, but really turned on at 12-14 mph.

Well, they've never been known for consistency.

Anyway, Bladerunner's question is still relevant, you should be able to jump with anything, given proper technique and sufficient wind.

and a kite with a bridle as designed and not stretched out. Or lines set up properly. The Ace doesn't like much brake input as I remember.

They also don't like gusty winds! That can mean real trouble with an ace!

yes the ace is a pansh but im using Cabrinha lines and bar with it and yes it is very unstable. yes ive managed to scudd with it 3 or four times but i know if i let it take me higher than ten feet theres no float to this kite. either your really good at flying this thing or it'l toss you like a paper bag in a hurricane.
