Netherlands - Ijmuiden (November 12)

I heard it was coming for the past few days. Forecast stated 50knots plus, so Arie and Ozzy already planned to ride and it came up to 40knots. Mark (OZ Teamrider) messages me on skype this morning stating it was a great windy day.

We have the beach, we have had 91mph winds in west Wales last week....but no money to get there....

That got me thinking....I wonder what realistically the strongest winds anyone truthfully dare go out it...late 50s perhaps...I think the windiest I ever buggied in was winds gust just over 50mph towards the end of only a 10 minute session, using a 2.5m Century, lol big mistake on the turns with a kite like a wasp on crack

Gusty wind day

I guess my favorite wind wind speed is around the 25mph mark, you know you will end up doing around 50mph then, and what I call a very good day

We really need to cowboy up and start going to mud bay more! It isn't any worse than that?

Hey Rip those are great photos and video. Thanks for sharing. The shallow water looks cool to run through. And I think the pictures of the buggies sitting on the wet sand with there reflection were awesome.
