Here is the lake. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&...

Did you ever go Paul? How was it? I really need to get out and check the lakes around here. Must be about frozen. I'd really like to go kiting, but the wind has been so angry the past two days.

Ya think  ;-)

I never really thought I'd actually hear myself say "It's too windy" but dang, its just way too windy to kite these past few days. Bummer

We've been having 20-30mph with gusts over 50mph. And though we didn't get all the snow they predicted. The drifts are closing our lower laying roads. (Lots of hay fields that are higher than the roads.)

Just came back from the pond in my backyard. Very crappy conditions. On the side of the pond where the wind dumped the snow it is a refrozen, slushy, bumpy mix - no good for skates. In the center and upwind side it is bumpy with wind drifted snow in streaks - not great for skis.

We'll need some rain or warm temps or a few inches of heavy snow to even out the surface for skis.

Ok so how many folks are going up? And is the ice good for playing on? This seems like a place the whole family could have fun.
