Boxing Day Bimble - The Movie!

Made a "Highlights Menu" so if you go to the YouTube page, you can jump to your pleasure and not have to sit through 2 minutes of me balancing the arc directly downwind :D watch out for the jump that stained my drawers :o

A little bimble around on the beach at Locus on or about Boxing Day with my Synergy 19 in light and gusty winds. My second determined effort to bow-tie the kite and provide a relaunch tutorial was again a bit of a failure ...
Uncle went out on the water with his F-One Bandit 15 but only stayed out about 15 minutes - he had no gloves or booties and it was too cold. I like that guy, he's non-Japanese in his hardiness :)

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

I like watching videos like this. Just calm kite flying, not extreme trick after another...

nice KK, on the reverse stall start at the zenith wait for it to fall back ,maybe even reach above the floats . the reride launch was nice.

My goal was actually to try and get bow-ties cos I think I've figured out how to fix them but can't seem to get them on film :D
Re-ride is much easier with the Nav bar and the Centrix-thingy ...

yeah the line thru the center is nice , still needs to feed INSIDE the stopper ball, not on the outside, chopped 2 already and dropped it, only use the bar ends pulls even with the tube kites as well.

bowties will unravel on the flag line . as long as the twisting hasn' t locked up everything.

the flag line that goes thru the center of the loop and thru the bar then up to the ring @ the Y connector . the current design has it vulnerable to being cut when the bar slams into the stopper ball. esp when the kite is fully powered and you let slam against the stopper ball for untwist.

fun video! were you skudding or running? you video reminded me of one of my favorite skuds so I had to go back and watch it... @20s http://www.youtube.com/user/wjl4#p/u/3/nRwZ07Zv_LQ ... my second favorite skud was on the v19 in 18mph... I'm not sure if it really counts as a skud as I wasn't on the ground much.
