up to the next level
Hi my names nick im from the uk and i got my first kite 6months ago a lil rush 200 and i love it and now feel confident enough to get a bigger kite
for jumping and landboarding. Only thing is funds are tight i have been looking and have seen a few new and used kites 1 in particular in my price
range a cirus pro but it seems allot cheaper than most other kites tge same size and if this thing is going to drag me around and take me off the
ground i want to no that wat im getting is the real deal and not just some cheap piece of crap any comments and suggestions will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks nick

PKDs are really good kites. But the buster is not lifty ,however it will drag ya around the beach. i really suggest that you not be so eager to leave
the ground. You have a LOT to learn yet and you don't want to do it the HARD way! I don't know what you mean by "the real deal" . All powerkite are
the real deal and can deal out injuries by the hospital load. you really need several kites to choose from depending on the wind speed. I can't help
w/ that particular kite. Being in the UK ,there are WAY more peeps to fly with. I would try to hook up w/ some locals in your area,they could offer a
wealth of info.

thank you for the advice after reading more about it and wat you have said i think i will take a step back from the jumping and learn more first i
think i have found pkd buster mk1/2 its not particularly clear picture in the description it just says 4m light blue and whit pretty sure its not the
newest version even if it is older would it still be a good kite to learn more with?

Yes, the PKD buster is a traction kite for beginner buggy pilots, it has plenty of pull. I think 4m is not too big for someone who already has the
basics down.But still ,watch the winds that you take it out in until you get used to how it reacts in different winds. Don't worry before you know it
,you will be wanting a depower like everyone else except me.

The PKD kites are real nice and the prices are so low that they are hard to sell because people assume there is something wrong with them. The buster
compares favorably to other kites like the HQ Beamer or Peter Lynn Hornet (other popular entry level but good performing kites). The new Buster is
the "Soulfly" with the newer tribal graphics and yes, the 4m is blue and white.

They come with a simple stuff sack (you don't need to pay for a technical backpack) and nice accessories. Great kite.

im going to look at this buster I 4m i found in local adds obviosly if the kite is damaged i ent guna touch it but if the lines are tatty is it worth
trying to get the price down and buying new 1s and is this something i would be able to learn how to do myself?

remember that the heavier lines go on the front and the lighter lines are the brake / rear lines.
If color coded on the loops, red goes on the left per the nautical and aeronautical tradition.

Cirrus Kites are mostly sold in the UK. They have two product lines/tiers: "Power" and "Pro". As reflected in their price, some of the nicer touches
are bypassed to keep the prices down. They are not necessarily bad kites, but they are a bit further down the quality tier.
The lines tend to be a slightly looser than what you are used to with the HQ Rush with a greater tendency to tangle. The handles use the old style
neoprene that tend to feel a little overly large. This is similar to some RadSails handles and the very old Flexifoil handles. Personal preference
in the end, but it always tended to cause my hands to fatigue long before I was ready to call it a day. I once got a chance to fly an old SkyTiger,
which used these kind of handles, back to back with a currently Flexifoil Sting. It's amazing how much difference a set of handles can make.
The design of the Cirrus kites tends to be a little dated.... slightly rectangular profile, more bridle lines, a slight tendency toward luffing
(losing power) and tip collapse when there is a lull in the wind.
Not bad kites, but if you can stretch your budget there are probably kites, both used and new, that will keep your interest a lot longer. The PKD a
nice kites.... if you need to keep within a budget the Elliot Magmas might be a possibility too.
Quite a few kites change hands on www.kitecrowd.com which was formerly the Flexifoil Community Forum. You'll often see very good deals there as folks readjust their quiver of
kites.
typing: "cirrus site:kitesbuggiesandboards.com" (without quotes) into Google's Search will yield a fair number of reviews on the Cirrus kites.
