From Ivanpah to Skyline?

When I'm not in a buggy I take every opportunity I get to snow-kite; so, I was wondering whether I should take another week off and head up to Skyline for a few cheeky snow-kiting sessions.

Can someone tell me how far it is and if there's still enough snow around at the end of March?

Mood: They're ALL good ideas. Right up until they become BAD ideas.

YES!!!!!

I think it's about a seven hour drive but totally worth it. I saw snow like I've never seen snow before - and I live on the edge of the Canadian Rockies! It was amazing and quite a learning experience to kite on a hillside. I'll DEFINITELY be back fro Snowkite Soldier one of these years.

Another YES!!!

macboy & I met there for a day on our way down to NABX last year. It is about 400 miles from Primm to Fairview UT and another 15 miles up Hwy 31 to the launch area. Still lots of snow at the end of March.

I stayed at the Skyline Motel in Fairview - they give a discount to snowkiters if you tell them you are kiting Skyline. Clean, basic accomodation. Great food across the street at the Home Plate Cafe.
