Sat. party. Worth how many extra $$ ?
Here is a tough choice.
I see that I can fly to Vegas Saturday to Saturday for only $310 return. This works great for car rental as well. Simple and cheap !
Trying to change things up to include the Saturday night party is going to mean going with another airline + or connections and at about $150 or more
$ ? + an extra day car / room rental .
I have to sleep on this one . I can't imagine NABX without that final dinner with all my KFF !
What would you do?
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

if you miss the SAT party, you're a wuss
whats a few extra bucks. you could sleep with Sean / maybe Tim? / floor of Ken3 and Ron / in between Ozzy and Ruudje.
what did you book with? i keep telling everyone westjet but i see Delta is on the cheap wagon, however they dont seem to like flying direct dumping
you in Salt Lake (SLC) for a few hours doing nothing.
Delta (1 stop), pop and peanuts with in-flight Wifi, and PC Power
Westjet (direct), pop and pretzels, no extras

Phillipian airlines are the $310 return deal. The Cheapo in me says that's the way to go.
K3 just reminded me about how wrong it went using Sunwing a couple of years ago.
Fortunately I have room to go the more expensive route but it will be almost twice as much total just for one night ?

Same for us - everyone needs to be back for monday morning to work and the only return flight option is out of Vegas at 11:30 saturday night to get
back to Toronto sunday am - otherwise we return monday. It sucks, we have been leaving just as the party is about to start so we miss the best night.
We got the seat sale prices a long time ago on West Jet - early sunday departure wasn't an option unfortunately.
Gotta find someone to watch our raffle tickets again,

Im surprised that PR 106 was cheap. at least you get a meal. flights are still near empty right now until at least Late April. if you book PR, Ill ask

Srsly you guys have to leave sat to get back monday???
Geez, that is just so wrong.
I honestly can't understand that, is it just 'cause there are no flights, or they cost more?
inquiring minds want you at the party!

For me it is the $310 return that is the force I am having a hard time passing on. Everything about this ticket is a fit accept that I fly out as the
party starts. Any other method will cost me at least $150 + more air, another nights hotel ( or 2 ) , an extra day ( or 2 ) car rental ... possibly
another precious day off without pay . At the Moment it looks like staying for the party on Sat. will cost me 3+ hundred bucks more at least ?
Dang, the party is a big part of the fun for me. Tough choice that I will have to make soon.

heading back to Toronto with either Air Canada or West Jet the flights both depart late saturday night or the same time sunday night. The problem is
the sunday night one arrives early monday morning and the guys need to be at work.
Leaving earlier in the day sunday if available added 200.00 to flight cost + hotel night + vehicle etc.
Sucks for us.
I might have managed a monday return but I'm also trying to keep Fiona happier as she arrives from Scotland to visit me thursday (while I'm still at
NABX) - joking with her that she can kill a few days at the airport didn't go over too well. At least I'm at most of NABX this year, happy for that,
sad to miss the party again.

Hey Sailor,
Some times one must balance the cost of things against the value.
The money you might spend is a rather random way to calculate worth.
The shared experiences can easily be priceless and eternal.
You also have Fiona, waiting (patiently, we can only hope) at home.
Once again I am glad to live here (and not have your dilemma).

Awesome choice! If it's any consolation, I'm estimating my fuel costs to be more than everything you mentioned combined :shocked2: It's about 1300
miles round trip at 8MPG and ~$4/gal for diesel by this time next month = $650 for the trip. But to Corey's point, "The shared experiences can easily
be priceless and eternal". Wouldn't miss it for anything.

Kitepwr I feel your pain our round trip is 4200 miles at 9 mpg or about $1867 dollars. but that is for two maybe three people and we get to bring
every thing from our bed to the kitchen sink.
and between he two of us we can bring the power to the people.
I missed 2009 and my whole year felt strange. Good friends and good times are priceless.

NABX as an event is changing and growing.
NABX starts on a Tuesday and ends on a Sunday.
It's almost a week long, and we'd like our final dinner together to be as close as possible to the last night.
We are spending more time on the lake bed, and more time socializing at night during the event.
It's hard to fit everything in, even over the 6 days.
We're sorry if you can't stay but do advise that it is worth it.
Remember, NABX doesn't come but once a year, and we want to cram as much fun as possible into our week with each other.
Aoxo~soon~!~
