Got done with a kitesurfing session yesterday and noticed some serious line wear on the pulley lines on my Flysurfer Speed 2 19m (Some wear on each side). Guess I should do a more thorough check before I go out :wow:

Where can I get replacement pulley lines and are they easy to fix? Also, any suggestions on making the line attachment points easier to undo..maybe soaking in water?

If you are looking to replace with OEM, any Flysurfer dealer should be able to source you some FS Pulley Line.

The site is rubbish for telling what the difference between the two SKUs are. I expect the difference in quantity.... replacing a particular length or all the pulley lines.

Any pick/hook set should make undoing knots easier. Available from your local Home Depot/Lowes/Amazon.

If you are retaining any segments, just make sure not to damage any of the fibers when undoing knots.

I recently bought a used sp2 19m, and also had a line look like that post session. Not only was the line toast, but those 2 pullies were seriously worn, (I replaced them) and for sure are the reason the line went.
You may want to check those pullies. Not just for wear, but check the little dimple where the plastic mold was filled. Many times there are birrs left over from the factory, if there are, use fine sandpaper and smooth them out!
p.s., I made my own line with amsteel from West Marine. Splicing is empowering and super easy. Just make the line the same length as the line from the other side of your kite.

They're easy to replace - just be patient and work out the LarS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s head slowly. And take pictures if you're worried

Also, my opinion is you need to make sure you keep it all flat and make sure nothing gets twisted - if the pulleys decide they want to rotate 180' the Spare Parts Line will be rubbing on itself and will fray and break - like what nearly happened on my SA2.5 ...

@ CDA - Thanks for the tip...I checked the pulleys and they seem to be fine but didn't check for any dimples...will do that for sure.

Which one is the "spare parts line"?
Definitely do one side at a time so you can keep reference.

John at powerzonekitesports.com has replacement SPL that is better than OE ones.

damn youve been out flying....................John at PZKS for sure.....................lines are like 5 bucks a piece....................replace both on each side and redue your mixer test........................easy peasy.........................:duh::duh:

Don't! Produces way more damage to the lines than a pulley! I'm actually about to get the stainless rings switched to pulleys ON my FS!

Every chance I get I can't tell you the number of times that kite has saved the day....Love it! And yeah, John is the man....should have some replacement lines here any day now. It will be my first mixer test...even if the lines are a little off, I might just leave it the way it is because it flies great!

Always been a issue with me and Fly Surfers, seems like constant maintenance. IMHO
