Nope!!!
if you can do without the camera save yourself 100.00 and get the iPad. I have yet to see how much "faster" the iPad 1 vs 2 is but they should have
called it a iPad 1.5
The last few products launched like the Pro and iPad 2 have really let me down.
If you want something with power and the added 200.00 get the Motorola Xoom.
There are more Pads hitting the market soon.
In the meantime I'm buying a Air 11"

I picked up the A7 by eLocity android tablet with nVidia Tegra 2 processor. Has HDMI out, takes USB, SDHC, WiFi. It is rooted from the factory. You
can go to XDA Developers forum and look up Dexter's mods and really get this thing smokin'. We have 3 in the family. Great eReader you can use
kindle, nook or any downloadable reader. With Dexters ROM and help on the formum got it connected to the full android market in about 10 minutes.
I like the Xoom, the new Dell and the Tab but all have proprietary software on them. Dexter also has the procedures for rooting these devices and
making them run to their true potential. I have a friend with a rooted Tab and it is awesome.
I got my eLocity A7's for $249 and amazing price for what these things can do especially when you compare the cost to a Kindle or other eReader that
only does books.
Watch tigerdiect and shopnbc for specials on the A7. Also read the android reviews on this little gem. Great bang for the buck.

Gives you super admin authority in Linux biased OS's.
I know on my desktop running in root is a security risk so on a tab do they just have a separate login for just when you need to use root? Or is it
permanently rooted?

It gives you super user access aka SU. It will allow you to flash custom ROMs and themes. Some apps require root to work properly. Once rooted you
are always SU. At least on the devices I have done it on.
Here's a nice little Wiki article that gives a little more detail:
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=Why_Root
This basically discusses rooting android phones but the idea applies to android tablets as well. Most carriers and manufacturers load a bunch of
proprietary junk that slows down the device and you can't get rid of it. Just think of all the bloat apps on the last PC you bought.
Dexter's mod's has the inside scoop on rooting almost any phone or tablet out there. http://dext3r.komodin.org/
It puts you in control of your device. What's is nice about the A7 being rooted from the factory is that you don't have to worry about turning your
device into a brick if your not a geek.

Have the iPad first gen and LOVE it. However, Apple rarely upgrades features/performance enough in each release so my Apple rule is skip a generation.
So yes - I will be getting the iPad3

+1 for good pricing :wee: I've played with both sufficiently and the v2 feels snappier but I don't think there is enough real feature differentiation
for what people use tablets for. The v1 is still a great option.
I'm not a fanboy for any product :dunno: I like apple products, I have many, and I like that the guard the user experience but I think they are going
to get steamrolled in the next few years by droid's openness. I don't think they got enough of a foot hold to get the market majority. They'll be
relegated to their standard 20% Ange09: But still great products

Not a fan gal of anything but I do love my music and have quite the iPod, iPhone, apple TV and ipad collection. Can't live without my music library
with me!
Just got the 6th gen nano. Sweet stuff and perfect for clipping on and kiting/boarding away. Highly recommended (plus it's tough to stuff an ipad in
your pocket without a few funny looks)
Any other audiophile kiters out there as well (who also like to hijack threads?)? If so, check out some beats by Dre PRO, JH13 in ear custom monitors
and AKG702s. Amazing headpones that will get anyone hooked on yet another expensive addiction.
Hijack over.
