Tires, Tires, Tires!
What tires will people be running this year on the playa? I'm still in the swamp of indecision, but I've got about 24h to decide or not :D If you
are bringing lots of sets then which do you plan to use... I'm considering thin knobby tires as ribbed for the purpose of this scientific survey

Other: 16-6.5x8 wide, with ribbed thread, see http://www.amazon.com/Carlisle-Straight-Lawnmower-Tire-16x6-... but you can find them cheaper. I've found that other brands don't have as much
rubber and wear out very quickly. I went through one of these cheapie tires in three trips to the desert, on the front tire.

Disc wheels are for cool people, I'll have rims with spinners and a sub-woffer mounted on the back. But what tires will you have on the wheels? Ozzy

I have ribbed barrows mounted and 2 sets of 4 ply slicks as backup. Bigfoots would be nice on the out n back.

As a local who goes to ivanpah every weekend that there's wind I run 4 ply slicks. Which seems to b the choice of the locals and most of us run

Nope, not this year as they hold for only 1 1/2 day,..just enough for Arie to set the record,.. this year full breed continental tyres..hope to hold
