Arc Group Photo
Ok, it didn't happen last year. Can we make it happen this year?
How about a set time; Friday at 5pm out a ways in the lake bed from the tent. Wind is usually up by that time, and it's not during dinner.
Sound good? I sure I can drag someone over to get a picture. It would be great if someone could take it with a wide angle lens.

How about some time when the wind ISN'T blowing. We seem to sit around most of the day waiting for it to kick in. I only have 2 and a half days to
ride. I enjoy the fraternization when the wind isn't blowing but buggy camp becomes a ghost town when the wind starts blowing for good reason.

I should have been more clear.
I envision either 1) a picture skyward of all our kites in the air, from the perspective of the flier or 2) a picture of all of us buggying by with
the the arc down at ground level. One big line of arcs.
Video would also be cool of this.
I was not envisioning a "group photo" showing our faces, each of us holding a kite.
This shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. We could meet earlier in the day and set up some markers for us to fly back and forth from. This way, when
the time comes around, if you see arcs flying in a line, back and forth from marker to marker, you know it is time. No waiting around for all to show
up. As many as we can get at 5pm. No crying you were not ready.
Sound better?
Doesn't have to be at 5pm. Could be some other time, open for suggestions.

Sounds good - we had a couple of times other years when it was the sweet late afternoon winds when a few of us just seemed to collect in a group to do
some passes. I'm in and Ziggy would be in depending on wind I could probably get another buddy to use one my kites. Ideally just a light cruising wind
would be best to get a grouping without a lot of jostling for speed checks etc - and we can get the kites in good position. Probably best to pick a
target date/time but if happens purely by chance earlier then it's a bonus.
edit-the markers should be some nice PL banners :-)

I like the idea but last year and most years the wind is very unreliable for say Friday at 4.
That said , if we pick a general time and area I would enjoy joining in.
How about any time the wind blow between 3 and 5 on Friday if no races are happening at that time ? ( or something ? )
I have more arcs than hands so if somebody wants to borrow one to join in please let me know ahead of time. Assuming the 15 will be too big I will
have the 10, 460 and 130 that can be flown.
Lets make this happen this year! :wee:
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Geo, I just noticed the heading says "Arc group photo" That makes it crystal clear. It wouldn't be much of a picture with us holding our kites in
our arms. :embarrased:

I'd like to think we are 'flash-mob' capable. Time and place will be up in the tent. Show up, do your thing, go off. Yes?

Gotcha covered. I bet there are enough arcs there for everyone to fly one though.

As I mentioned depending on wind speed I should have 2 or 3 arcs to loan. You are more than welcome to one of mine.
