WBB Seminars on Friday and Saturday!

WBB Seminars on Friday and Saturday!

Landboarders:

Starting at noon on Friday and Saturday Adam Bedinghaus has offered up his time to teach the basic fundamentals of landboarding. A how to seminar that’s a must for those looking to learn it from a pro rider for Peter Lynn. Please post up if there is an interest; we may be able to scrounge a couple of ATB’s for those who don’t have one but no promises.

Kiteboarders:

Traveler Terpening from Desert Wind Kiteboarding will be on hand Saturday at 2pm for an intro to Kiteboarding. Here is a blurb with description:

Introduction to Kiteboarding For Land Kiters
---Saturday at 2pm
Join PASA certified kiteboarding instructor and owner of Desert Wind Kiteboarding for an introductory class on kiteboarding specifically tailored for land kiters. In this class Traveler will build on the skills all you land kiters already have and will introduce the new skills and concepts required to make the exciting plunge into the water. These skills include: Leading edge inflatable (LEI) kite setup and breakdown, launching and landing, water relaunch, water self-rescue and other related theories and skills. Although we will not be getting wet during this introductory class, Traveler will be available for one-on-one lessons throughout the Buggy Bash for an hourly rate. Contact Traveler for more information (email:info@desertwindkiteboarding.com / tel: 907.299.1119).

This class is for advanced-beginner kiters or above land kiters. This means you are an experienced and safe kite flier and have a reasonably firm understanding of kite safety, wind, weather and other key concepts to safe kite flying.

Talk it up if you have an interest in these seminars! All seminars will begin at the beach headquarters (usually displayed by banners and so forth.)

I hear that Rich. I may need a buggy lesson or two as well!

Still a bug virgin as we have not been able to take it out yet. Wanted to this weekend but the new tat won't like a harness around it.

Anyone wanna push me down a hill so I can get accustomed? :wee:

I'm flying so am trying to keep the luggage down to a minimum. It'll be last minute decision whether I bring the landboard or not since I'm still more comfortable on the buggy. If there is someone that really wants to try it out, I guess I could bring it.

BTW .. since I'm trying to keep my luggage to a minimum, what kite size should I bring for the local winds?

Dan .,. thanks for the offer, might have to take you up on it if I don't bring mine.

Lostfox1 , Mountain Dew gets me going in the morning

You will need a pretty decent quiver for WW. It can be 5mph winds one minute and 25mph winds the next. Looking at your quiver I would bring the Coopers, The 3m Beamer, Both PL and the FS. Just sayn!

If you end up needing something, you can fly something I have if you need!
