How is this even possible? It's difficult just getting a picture down to below 100 x 125 pixels, but even after I do that it still says it's too big.
So how do you change it? I somehow managed to get it to accept the one I have now; then, I went back and tried to put in the exact same picture in,
and it said it was too big? :puzzled:
Image > Resize
Select Pixels instead of % in the second dropdown list.
Make sure "Keep ratio" is checked
There are 9 different resizing algorithms, but the default generally works.
Undo will revert back to the original size, so you can try different things.

The edited picture is for sure below the dimensions the forum requires. It's still rejecting it. And if I took off my current picture, then tried to
set it again, it'd give me an error message. It's completely inconsistent.
The French are going to surrender to Gaddafi. Libyan forces are going to throw rocks at their fighters, and the pilots are going to wet themselves and
turn back. Then call upon America to "Eh lendeh our assistonce", THEN the rest of the world is going to be mad at us for interfering.
An avatar displays a small graphic image below your details in posts and profiles. Only one image can be displayed at a time, an uploadable avatar's

I'll be happy too edit it if you want as-well.

W00t!! Got it! Now there's 5 people with the same pic floating around LOL.
I had the same problem as Stetson ^^^^
I had to first clear the current picture URL, and select the "Delete avatar picture" box. Then, go back and change it to a new one. Turns out, you can
have a picture much bigger than 100 by 125 pixels :P But when I try to edit my profile info, it might give me a hassle again.
I found that sometimes it's the JPEG quality that has the most control over the file size and just by dropping it down a notch you can still get a
physically big image up.
