The seed of kiting has been planted

Locals in my area are psyched about kites! Before I started doing this, kites were a thing of the past. Now, I guess I've inspired kids teens and adults alike to clean out their closets and find their old toys? I see people flying them every day, it's fantastic!! A teacher even told me he saw a person flying a [foil kite similar to my 13m Venom, but smaller and faster -- not sure what kind. He just said it had red on it]. <-- This is what I have deduced from his description. Oh, and there were two guys who had them, flying at my spot. So stoked to see others with power kites. I need to go find them next time they're out there and have a chat.

In other news... I have a chapter in my high school year book to myself, the newspaper is interested in writing an article about me, I've successfully befriended the cops, everything I own is plastered with numerous kiting stickers, and I've even impacted the Google suggestions drop down as I search for my local weather at least 15 times a day. :D

By the way, I see kitesurfing in the media way too many times to keep track of. It's all over. Commercials, especially. I was watching National Geographic and there was something on a show that had to do with wind, and they had the camera zoomed in on a kitesurfer for a few seconds. It's a glorious thing :wee:

Your next mission is to have the local park install something like this:

Instead of eddy kites, try for an arc. Properly placed it could provide shade. The lines could be rigged with lighting for night time illumination. ;-)

Seany you have taking your town by the ranes. Keep up the excitement and maybe someday there will be a park to honor you and your kites. But you may have to dye saving a puppy from a rock crusher while flying your kite:crazy:. But it would be cool!!
