HOOJ right whale sighting!

Out Sunday 1-5pm running the local spot. A friend and i were running out and at about 2miles saw a huge breach. easily seen from point of sail and continued toward it. The guy i was with had it go right under him and then saw it on the surface. huge like bus! full stoke on that folks. oh !and later that afternoon saw a sea turtle roughly the size of laz-boy.

right whale south 2miles off shore HHI, SC marker 4.0

intense moment!

I think that was wright whale, not white whale.

Meanwhile the Prince of Wales is getting ready for a wedding. All very confusing.

We've been getting pods of them off the beaches in Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod. I don't think they've ever been in this close around here as its been making quite a splash on the news. I've seen seals and whales and sharks while out in Cape Cod Bay but these whales have been so close to the shore you could hit them with a rock. Amazing.
