Landboarding in the bay area

Hey Guys,
Is there a good place in the bay area for landboarding?
I think some places have a ban, some probably too crowded.

I usually do it without a board in berkeley marina but It'd be fun to go over those hills on a board.
Thanks
Kiran

Stop by Shoreline Kite Park in Mountain View near Shoreline Amphitheatre off 101 and Shoreline Blvd. Grass is cut, gusty at times, some gopher holes you have to watch out for on the field. Plenty of places to grab a bite nearby if you get hungry...hahaha. Afternoon's tend to be less crowded. Wind is usually good from 2pm on....

U2U me if want to hook up and ride

Is shoreline the only place to go?
The broken glass and lightposts scare me a bit
(though having a kiteable field leaves me very
little to complain about). Any update on ocean beach?

Ocean beach is still off limits to riding.

You can static fly all you want at Ocean Beach - as soon as wheels touch that sand - the rangers are on you.

You can ride in Crissy field or Marina Green (good luck with that).

Sunset beach works as well - just check the tides and ride north (south side is closed off for the Plovers).

Shoreline is pretty much the place to ride without large crowds or issues.

See you soon.

When I was at shoreline I was talking to a long time local and he was telling me how he and some of the other locals would go out and pick up glass, etc after a event. I think that is great of them and honestly it would be a gesture of thanks to anyone who visits there to maybe pick up a little if you see some around. I know I will next time I am there.
