Sean,
were not sure who took him out and lets not openly speculate and draw attention to our special forces.......
stealth is their main weapon, lets maintain that........
lets remember and pray for the men and women and their families lost at Kobar Towers, USS Cole, and the 911 attacks.....rest in peace brothers and
sisters.

MSwho?? they know nothing.................listen to a SNCO with 27 yrs of service....................these are the same people who have overlooked
Kohbar Towers and the USS Cole..........
I don't want to start a debate!! It was a joint operation, and how much more can one broadcasting station know about this than another? It JUST
HAPPENED!
The point is, Bin Laden's brain was turned to soup by an American bullet. I was here for the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings, I was here for 911, I
remember it all, I'm just as happy as everyone else.
I'm sure it's a great symbolic victory. Unfortunately, that's all it is if only
solving the problem of religious fundamentalist scum bags was to take out the leader and it'd all be over ...
its all good Chessy, we knew what you meant.....................quick divert, are you still coming to JIBE? Ill look for your answer on the correct
thread........sorry!

Your right, it is a symbolic victory, but a very important victory for our countries health. And the health of our allies.
Nothings over but a sweet success none the less and 10 years in waiting.
It's good that a symbol of terror is gone, but I guess I look at this situation in terms of science or biology.
Your skin is covered in bacteria and other micro organisms. These organisms out compete other harmful microbes. If you clean your skin too much you
can kill or remove the bacteria that is healthy for your skin. If that happens there is a void or an open space for something more harmful to move in.
With that being said, i think they should have kept this more discrete instead of parading it infront of the entire world. Hopefully there won't be
some young gun terrorist who wants to prove that he is an even more worthy adversary. I hope there isn't major backlash from this. I"m also not
suprised that this happend right before an election year. A president who has driven us into more debt in one term then the last two presidents is
going to be remembered by destroying a symbol of terror instead of the crappy job that he did running the country. With that being said, I hope
Americans who are serving are safe and that this tale of terror is over. YOu should all know that I am very paranoid and I don't like any big
government.
I gotta go with Skinny Jeans Adam on this. I watch the media parade this morning and I'm extremely dissapointed at how this is being protrayed.
Images of a bunches of 20 something american males filling the streets chanting "U-S-A!" and waving the flag isn't going to help minimize the
potential backlash that removing Bin Laden can cause.
We as americans should be operating with a bit more reserve in this situation. It's one thing to kill an enemy in response to being wronged. It was a
job that needed to be done. It's done let's focus on other things.
But it's another thing to run around flaunting that we killed someone. Someone who is/was to many, a symbol right or wrong.

I am glad Bin Laden is dead, but that doesn't mean we are safe, just leaves room for the next maniac with an ego to take up arms and step up to the
plate!

Hmmm, two spelling errors in one sentence, about par for the course.
The election is 19 months away. If this was released in October 2012, well that WOULD be different.

Your hatred is showing you might want to zip that up. Try backing up your statement with facts verses just regurgitating Fixed News propaganda. Better
yet instead of comparing apples to oranges, try comparing Raygun, Bush1 and Bush1.5 to Clinton and Obama. Debt for Debt, rethugs are way ahead!
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies
hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out
hate: only love can do that." --Martin Luther King, Jr.
It's interesting how people are flaunting in this. Sure, its a victory for this country, but thats all it is. He's one person amongst MANY, and while
it may bring closure for some of the 9/11 victims, it doesn't need to be portrayed as it has.
As far as the politics go, that should stay off PKF in my opinion. I will say this, however: I'm not a big Obama fan (was not a big Bush fan, either)
but I'll commend Obama on this much at least; He wanted DNA proof that it actually WAS Osama bin Laden. Best idea he's had in a long while.
The reactions or at least the media's coverage of the reactions is pretty bad. I'm a little uneasy with scenes of a bunch of kids, many of which are
barely old enough to remember where they were on 9/11, running around acting like thier favorite team won the Super Bowl. It makes us look bad and
it's just really poor taste.
I've stopped watching the interviews on T.V. because I get ticked off everytime some idiot tries to compare OBL with Hitler. I mean really, HITLER?
Sure the OBL was a world class Massengil and did some f'd up stuff but Hitler was a f'n monster. I'm waiting to hear someone compare him Stalin or
Pol Pot but Hitler is the knee jerk sorta "low hanging fruit ".
Anyway I guess my point is that we as a nation should be a little more reserved in our response to OBL's death. We haven't won a world war, we
removed a SINGLE enemy leader from power. A leader that has subordinants that can and likely will take his place. The spectacle that our media is
portraying on the T.V. can do nothing more than fuel the hatred that his followers already feel for us and perhaps turn those who were only
contemplating joining an anti-American terrorist organization against us.
If we saw them celebrating like this for the death of one of our leaders how would we want to respond?
I don't subscribe to either political side as I believe both parties are out of control and answer not to the public but to special interest groups or
thier own self serving agendas. And I'm skeptical of anyone who agrees whole heartedly with every move thier chosen party makes. And I think lobbying
should be illegal.
So there.:bouncy:
