Hope the land owners are friendly!! I'll man up and go talk to them this week. They're probably old folks who won't have a problem with me flying a kite.

The field is luscious, green, close to home, and empty except for a few grazing cattle. Not to mention, HUGE. The satellite image doesn't do it justice... you'd have to drive past it to (almost) see it in it's entirety.

No more flying on 3 acre lots and crappy dangerous soccer fields for me... I hope...

I had a buddy who kept some cows (go figure) in a field he leased for $1 a month. The owner needed the field taken care of (not overgrown, etc)...and he needed a field.

You might think of some stuff you could include in your request, like removing trash that you come across...or maybe there a pile of brush they've been wanting removed. Good way to start out a trusting relationship.
